Tap a column to sort, a row to trade, edit units & price, or change its setup (platform, type, ticker, tax rate). Prices with a ticker or ISIN update live; ✎ = typed by hand.

At the start of each month: check the balances, update your holdings, then close last month. Either of you can do it; the other sees it straight away.

Type what each bank app shows now. If it differs, a “Balance correction” entry makes the app match; it doesn't count as spending or income.

Units and average price as each platform shows them. Prices come in live.

Automatic follows your phone's light or dark setting. Set per device.

The app keeps everything in its own encrypted database. A backup is an extra copy, in case that database is ever lost. It stays encrypted: it opens only with your password, PAT's password or the recovery code.

A readable copy for spreadsheets: transactions, holdings, trades, net worth, budget, monthly totals, saving rate, notes and lists. Not encrypted: keep it private.

Opens a backup on this device and checks that every record decrypts and nothing is missing. Works even if the app's database is gone; you can then save its contents as Excel.

Adds repeating reminders to your phone's calendar, so you get a notification even when the app is closed:

• 1st of every month, 9:00: month-end check (snapshot, budget) and backup.
• Tax payments: 30 June (saldo + 1st acconto) and 30 November (2nd acconto), with a reminder a week before.

No amounts or other data go into the calendar. Each of you adds them on your own phone.

Check that this phone can show notifications from the app.

When you open the app it tells you if a backup is overdue (over 30 days), if entries made offline are still waiting to upload, and when it saved a month-end.

Your password still works everywhere. Turning it on creates a passkey for this app on the device; the key it unlocks is protected by the device's secure chip.

Set per device.

This device keeps an encrypted copy of the data so the app also opens offline. Signing out removes it.

1. In the current Budget app (Google Sheets), open More → Settings → Download export file.
2. Choose that file here. It is read and encrypted on this device; only the encrypted version is uploaded. Importing again is safe: you see what changes first, and what you added or changed in this app is kept.
3. Delete the export file afterwards: it is not encrypted.
